Our Surf School offers different surf lesson options to suit what's best for you.
During the school holidays we are running SurfGroms Programs for children 5 to 12 years old who wants to learn to surf, have fun and enjoy a great time with other groms!
About Us
Step Up Surf is an affiliated Surf School with Surfing Australia providing surf lessons on the Mid-Coast, SA. Our base camp is at Port Noarlunga, but we have a few surf spots to choose from because each location has its own distinct surf conditions that provide a variety of waves and cater to all surfers.
Meet The Team
Owner and Head Coach Michael Batten leads our team of qualified coaches who are all experienced surfers with a passion for teaching others.
Michael has a background working in the education department (SA & Office of Sport of NSW) delivering SACE and outdoor recreational programs for more than 20 years. He has been also, a surf coach since 2010, teaching how to surf around Australia and overseas.
He is dedicated to providing the best surfing experience possible, and enjoys seeing first-time surfers catch their first wave, that hopefully starts the beginning of an lifetime of catching waves.
